Amid school closures and economic uncertainty\, a rapidly increasing number of people are facing food insecurity. In response\, the YMCA will host its first food distribution program on Tuesday\, August 31st at 10:30 a.m. in partnership with the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama.\n\n\n\nThe pick up site will be organized in the rear parking lot of the Y (across from old convention hall) at the YMCA's pavilion for easy vehicle access. As this is our first food distribution effort we will be initially prepared to distribute up to 150 packages of food. The parking lot will be prepared with cones and signs to facilitate this event.
