SUMMARY:Emerging Issues Luncheon: Alabama Data Breach Notification Act
DESCRIPTION:Join The Chamber and Southern Data Automation for an Emerging Issues Luncheon to keep you informed about the recently passed Alabama Data Breach Notification Act. On March 28\, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed SB 318\, the Alabama Data Breach Notification Act of 2018\, which became effective on June 1\, 2018. Alabama was the final state to enact a data breach notification law\, and many have referred to Alabama's Act as one of the most stringent in the United States in many different areas.\n\n\n\nSpeaker:\n\nChad Sizemore is a 2001 graduate of Jacksonville State University with a Bachelors of Science in MCIS. After graduating\, Chad accepted a position with SouthTrust Bank as a Voice and Data Engineer. In this role he worked to converge the voice and data infrastructure and implement the largest Cisco VOIP system in a financial institution at that time. Chad transitioned to Wachovia Bank after the merger with SouthTrust Bank and continued in his role as a Voice and Data Engineer. In 2006\, he accepted a position with Cisco Systems as a Network Consulting Engineer. After nearly 10 years with Cisco working with commercial and governmental companies around the world\, he partnered with Stan Adams to found ICS Medtech in 2015. ICS Medtech provides compliance and cyber security services to organizations of all sizes and demographics.\n\n\n\nLunch will be provided by Southern Data Automation.
