Community Food Distribution at YMCA of the Coosa Valley

 The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic are unprecedented and our local YMCA is responding in a variety of ways to meet these community needs. Amid school closures and economic uncertainty, a rapidly increasing number of people are facing food insecurity. In response, the YMCA is hosting another food distribution program in partnership with the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama.

The pick up site will be organized in the rear parking lot of the Y (across from old convention hall) at the YMCA's pavilion for easy vehicle access.  As this is our first food distribution effort we will be initially prepared to distribute up to 150 packages of food.  The parking lot will be prepared with cones and signs to facilitate this event.  In the event that the weather does not cooperate the program will be moved to the gymnasium entrance at the YMCA.
