Emerging Issues: "One Spot" - Optional Network Election for Single Point OnLine Transactions

Beginning October 1, 2013 the ONE SPOT system will allow city and county taxes to be filed, along with state taxes, through a single website, easing the burden of monthly tax filing.  This will be at no charge to taxpayers or to local jurisdictions. 

The ONE SPOT system is a joint project of the Alabama Department of Revenue, counties, and municipalities and has been designed to increase compliance as well as cut down on tax administration for retailers and business owners that do business in multiple cities or counties throughout the state.



In an effort to keep our membership informed on major issues that could create changes to the way we all do business, The Chamber is offering a series of opportunities to learn about the most up-to-date information on those topics from peers who are considered experts in their fields.
