Kevin Laws is the Science and Operations Officer at the National Weather Service in Birmingham, where he has worked since early 2007. He helps lead the day-to-day weather operations that support forecasts and warnings for communities across the region. At the national level, Kevin previously served as the National Severe Weather Program Director, helping guide how severe weather warnings and programs are developed and improved across the country. He is passionate about making weather information clear, useful, and actionable so people can make better decisions and stay safe.
