Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening for "Making Alabama" Bicentennial Traveling Exhibit

Join the Etowah County Bicentennial Committee, Gadsden Museum of Art & History, Gadsden Public Library, City of Gadsden, Downtown Gadsden, Inc., and The Chamber for a ribbon cutting and grand opening of the "Making Alabama" Bicentennial traveling exhibit! The traveling exhibit was developed by the Alabama200 Commission in partnership with the Alabama Humanities Foundation and the Alabama Department of Archives & History.

The ribbon-cutting has been scheduled for 6:00 p.m. to coincide with October’s First Friday.  The exhibit is large and has many interactive computer workstations which will help tell the story of Alabama from ancient times to the present day.  This exhibit is coming to Gadsden as a joint venture of the Etowah County Bicentennial Committee, the Gadsden Museum of Art & History, the Gadsden Public Library, the City of Gadsden and Downtown Gadsden, Inc. and will be centrally located for 3 weeks at the GMA through Friday, October 25th.
