Whether you are dreaming about starting a small business or have already opened your doors, an upcoming workshop series for entrepreneurs will equip you for success. In April, the Etowah County Extension Office and The Chamber of Gadsden & Etowah County are partnering to bring a series of Small Business Workshops to our community.
The workshops are a 4-Part Series led by Rick Zapata of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and co-hosted by The Chamber of Gadsden & Etowah County. These workshops will be held by Zoom video conference, but a hybrid option to attend the sessions in person at the Etowah County Extension Office is available. The sessions will be from 6-8 p.m. on April 6, 8, 13, and 15th.
Together these workshops will help the participant develop a full-fledged business plan.
Session 1 Starting a Business from Scratch:
Selecting a product or service, business formation, business licenses, risk management.
Session 2 Business Economic & Marketing:
Figuring a profit margin, consumer economics, selecting a market, employee issues.
Session 3 Business Plans and Internet Sites:
Short and long-term business plans and how to develop an internet site.
Session 4 Business Bookkeeping and Taxes:
Federal and state tax requirements and monthly bookkeeping systems.
The workshops are completely free, but you do need to register before the first session.
