Big Brothers Big Sisters mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.  By partnering with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community we are accountable for each child in our program achieving: Higher aspirations, greater confidence and better relationships, acoidance of risky behaviors and educational achievements. 

I work for the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry as the General Secretary for the Birmingham Scottish Rite Center. We are the home office for the Alabama Scottish Rite Foundation andd our Charity is testing/evaluating children for Dyslexia. I am also the Judge Advocate for the McLaughlin Detachment #1091, Marine Corps League in Gadsden, AL.

On a personal note, I'm originally from Pennsylvania and proudly graduated from Penn State. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and our three furry companions: Cooper, Libby, and Betsy!

I have called Rainbow City Home since 2009 where I live with my husband and two children. I also work with EF High School Exchange Year where I place high school exchange students with volunteer host families for an academic school year, to share about their cultures while gaining a perspective on life in America.  In my spare time, I volunteer at Southside High School and love to travel, see new places, and experience different cultures.

I am am retired Public School employee.  I worked 27 total years in Public Education as a teacher, coach, Principal, and Central Office Staff in the Etowah County Board of Education.  I joined Darden Rehab Services as the Workshop Supervisor in October of 2021.
