LISW and LPCA supervisees:

To supervise the diagnostic assessments completion, confirm that the assessments meet the SCDHHS standardized criteria to describe the level of intensity of needed services. The LPC, LPCS or LISW-CP have successfully completed training on CALOCUS and passed the competency test, deeming him/her eligible to administer CALOCUS.

Job Status:
Contractor: Contract terms of at least 20 hours/wk., renewable yearly

Employee: Provisionally licensed at least 10 hours/wk.

CEO, Executive Clinical Coordinator, Clinical Director, Human Resource Director

Quality of work

  • The LPCS shall act within the scope of his/her professional licensure.
  • The LPCS will ensure all State and Federal Regulations, including accreditation agency standards are maintained at all times. The LPCS has knowledge of and is culturally sensitive to Contractors and the problems of Beneficiaries.
  • Ensuring that all agency policies and regulations are upheld and fulfilled as it pertains to individual care.
  • Ensuring that clinical practice is in line with chosen therapeutic models.
  • Ensuring that assessments are documented in a manner which addresses all of the necessary components, per DHHS Manual, and clearly establishes medical necessity.

Quantity of Work
  • Works closely with CEO, Executive Clinical Coordinator, Mental Health Professionals, and other staff members
  • Meets with clinical staff to direct and review work.
Other duties that may be deemed necessary:
· Supervises the treatment to individuals, groups, families, and couples using a variety of psychotherapeutic techniques.
· Supervised the completion a bio-psychosocial assessment of the individual based on interviews with individual, family, significant others, and community agencies with which they may be involved.
  • Provides appropriate supervision and guidance during crisis episodes.
  • Supervise clinicians to ensure they are providing behavioral or therapeutic interventions for more intractable or difficult to manage individuals/families.
Job Qualifications:
  • Independently Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts in the state of as LISW-CPS, LPCS, LMFT, PsyD, APRN, Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Education
  • DHHS CALOCUS certified is a plus.
  • Must have at least 2 years work experience in adult and children counseling and DSM-IV or V diagnosis, to include assessments, service planning, crisis management, individual and/or family therapy, Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services, Behavior Modification, family support and other rehabilitation supports preferred for adult with serious and persistent mental illness, and Serious Emotional Disturbed children and adolescents.
· Advanced knowledge of clinical social work and mental health counseling principles, methods, procedures, and standards.

· Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures, Medicaid services and community mental health resources.

· Experience in quality improvement processes, auditing, and clinical records documentation.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Also, experience with C&A clients, authorizations, administering CAFAS and CALOCUS, Individual Plans of Care (IPOCs), and familiarity with clinical terminology.

· Must have valid state driver license and automobile insurance policy.

· Must pass Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening.


· Weekend and evening workdays required.
