Gadsden, AL – A big congratulations to Sweets and Sprouts, the charming little bakery tucked up on the mountain, as they celebrate their one-year anniversary. Since opening their doors, this cozy spot has quickly become a local favorite, thanks to owner Molly Sullivan’s incredible talent, welcoming spirit, and a serious love for baked goods.
Located at 102 Eble Street, Suite B, Sweets and Sprouts is known for its from-scratch cinnamon rolls, homemade pop tarts, muffins, scones, cookies, and more. Every morning, the bakery fills with the smell of fresh pastries and coffee from The Coffee Bar, and regulars know to come early, because once they’re sold out, they’re out. They're open Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Molly has been baking since she was a child, and she says opening the bakery was a dream come true. “I cannot believe it has already been a whole year of the bakery being open. It is honestly a surreal experience,” she shared. “There have been very hard days and struggles, but nothing compares to the feeling I get when I see your excitement coming to the bakery. Whether it’s for a celebration, a pick-me-up, or a Saturday pajama run, those moments matter so much to me.”
In addition to the daily treats, Molly also offers custom cakes for birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and just about any special moment in between. Her cakes are as beautiful as they are delicious.
The one-year celebration took place around June 14, complete with a festive balloon arch from Balloons by Sky and plenty of sweet surprises for customers.
Sweets and Sprouts is more than a bakery, it’s become part of the Gadsden community, built on passion, persistence, and pastries. Molly’s journey is a reminder of what can happen when someone follows their dream and shares it with the people around them.
