This lovable gift boutique in Southside just opened!

Southside, AL – The City of Southside and the Etowah Chamber recently came together to officially welcome 1641 MarketPlace South to the community with a grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration. Owned by Donna Ramsey, this new local business brings a warm, Southern charm to Highway 77.

Part gift shop, and part home boutique, 1641 MarketPlace South is filled with handpicked furniture, home décor, women’s clothing, and one-of-a-kind gifts. Shoppers will find unique, thoughtfully designed pieces that elevate everyday life, from elegant entryway consoles and cozy chairs to versatile work islands and stylish bedroom furniture.

And don’t forget the baked goods. The shop offers fresh treats daily, including cinnamon rolls, blueberry muffins, cinnamon raisin biscuits, and chocolate peanut butter oatmeal cookies, changing seasonally.

Donna, known affectionately as "Nana," invites everyone to stop in, browse, and stay a while. Her passion for making people feel at home is clear in every detail of the space.

“We’re proud to see another investment in our community,” said David Franklin, Operations Manager of the Etowah Chamber.  “It’s always a win when our locals step up to meet the need of our cities," Mayor Dana Snyder added, "I've been saying for a while that we needed something like this in Southside."
