Country legend Clint Black to perform Thursday at The Amp in Gadsden

The Etowah County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to enhancing the area’s economy and being an advocate and resource for employers.

Gadsden, AL – One of country music’s biggest stars of the last several decades will be performing in Gadsden this Thursday, June 25, 2026, as Clint Black steps onto the Mountain Dew stage at the Amp as part of the WinSouth Credit Union Concert Series.

“Clint Black is one of those household names in country music, and even casual country know his songs,” said Mayor Craig Ford. “We hosted a benefit concert with Riley Green and Friends in April, so we're happy to have had one of country music's newer stars and now an award-winning country star who has been topping the charts for years.”

Thursday’s show is part of the “Back on the Blacktop” tour for the CMA, ACM, AMA, and Grammy Award winner.

Black, whose trademark is writing his own songs, has had 13 No. 1 hits while putting more than 30 singles on the country charts.

His chart-topping songs include: “A Better Man,” “Killin’ Time,” “Nobody’s Home,” “A Good Run of Bad Luck,” “Nothin’ but the Taillights,” “Like the Rain” and many more.

Opening for Black will be Cody Lohden, a former firefighter and paramedic who turned a viral online hit into a Nashville music contract. Some of his songs include: “Tail Light, Porch Light, Miller Lite” and “Buckle Up.”

The Amp is a historic, riverfront venue that has recently undergone significant renovations such as new and improved seating, along with an all-new covering over the stage that allows for better shelter, lighting and sound.

The Amp is located at 90 Walnut St. in Gadsden. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:00 p.m.
