This is the 38th annual Patriots Day Luncheon at Convention Hall. Doors open at 11am and the program begins at 11:45am. The program will end at 1pm, and if you want you may ride a shuttle, which is being provided by the City of Gadsden to Broad Street for the Patriots Day Parade which begins at 1:45.
Tickets for the luncheon are $10.00 each and can be purchased at our office which is located in the Gadsden Amphitheatre(342 South 1st Street). This year there are 14 inductees into the Patriots Hall of Honor, with a special class of 10 inductees which are part of The Greatest Generation World War II Veterans along with 4 other inductees who were nominated by individuals in the community and were selected by special committee to be honored this year. The speaker this year will be LTC Herbert Carter, who was a Tuskegee Airman during WWII with 77 combat missions. Joining LTC Carter is Colonel Roosevelt Joseph Lewis, Jr. who Graduated from Tuskegee Institute and had gone on to work several positions for the Department of Defense. There are alot more that can be said about these two great men who have done alot for their country.
