We invite you to take a step back in time to meet some of Etowah County’s most memorable residents. You will hear their personal stories told by modern day citizens clad in period dress as you stroll from gravesite to gravesite. Many of the portrayers are actual descendants of the individuals whose stories they tell.
Admission is “donations only” with the proceeds being used to preserve the history and dignity of Forrest Cemetery.
Parking will be at the old Gadsden High School and trolley service is available from there to the main gate of Forrest Cemetery. Trolleys will also return patrons to the school parking lot.
A limited number of golf cart shuttles will be available inside the cemetery for those who might need them. These golf carts will stop at the shuttle stop marked on the maps available to patrons as they enter the cemetery.
