ADOR Offering Free Tax Workshop to Business Owners 
Gadsden-area Owners Invited on Feb. 24 

Montgomery, Jan. 22, 2015— Are you a new or current business owner with tax questions? Mark your calendar and attend the Alabama Department of Revenue’s free Business Workshop scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., in Gadsden. The workshop will be held at the Gadsden/Etowah County Chamber of Commerce, 1 Commerce Square, (corner of Walnut St. and 1st St.), in Gadsden. The free workshop will cover a variety of state tax information topics, including employer withholding  taxes, state and local sales taxes, property taxes, and business licensing requirements. An overview of Alabama’s business tax electronic filing programs will also be presented. Existing business owners are also invited to attend this free workshop. This is a great opportunity to keep business owners up to date with law changes, and it gives them a chance to ask experts particular questions relating to ADOR presenters will also provide workshop participants with information about Alabama’s new ONE SPOT, a free Internet filing and payment portal that allows business taxpayers to file and pay state, county, and city sales, use, and rental taxes all in one place.
