Local Census Committee

The U.S. Census counts every person living in the U.S! We need YOUR help to ensure that every Etowah County citizen is counted! Etowah County stands to lose $1,550 per person who is not counted and could lose a congressional seat.

Join us for a committee meeting to discuss the best ways to make sure each person is counted, hosted by the Gadsden Public Library, Gadsden State Community College and The Chamber of Gadsden & Etowah County. We will have a large group discussion followed by brainstorm breakout sessions at a later date in three sectors: education, social service and public entities. We will also collect and share with all interested parties the activities that are already occurring in each of your sectors.
